Bulimia nervosa

Bulimia nervosa

Bulimia Nervosa is an eating disorder that affects people of all ages, especially teenagers. Those who suffer from bulimia eat large amounts in a short period of time and then try to eliminate the food by vomiting, taking laxatives or not eating the following days, this in order not to gain weight.
Some of the most common symptoms that indicate that a person may be suffering from bulimia are mainly excessive food intake almost at the same time, weight loss, excessive exercise in addition to anxiety, depression, low self-esteem and health problems.
It is believed that the cause of bulimia is due to multiple factors, including family, culture, crisis situations, affective losses or low self-esteem.
